Organic Farmers get-together & State level Workshop on Natural farming and Eco-Spirituality
With a view to convey the message that greens, millets, indigenous cows and local knowledge are the best guarantee of holistic health, in collaboration with NABARD, State Biodiversity Board, State Horticulture Mission, All India Radio, Grama Panchayats, Bio-farmers associations, INFACT- INAG, FIMARC, World Millet Foundation, Bharath Vikas Sanghamam, Bharathiya Gau Raksha Vedi- Ambadi Gaushala, Ashraya- Kottarakkara, CISSA, Mitraniketan, Arsha Bharath- Wayanad, Sandhya Development Society-Pala, Residents Associations and other voluntary Development organisations a farmer get-together and state level workshop will be conducted from 21 to 23 December 2016 at Santhigram, Chappath (Near Vizhinjam).
During the sessions that start at 9.30 a.m. on 21 December, subject experts will present papers on topics, such as Preparing Nutritious food and medicine from local humble plant resources, Role of Millets, such as Chama, Thina, Ragi, Maize, Panivaraku, Kampu, Cholam, Kutirali in maintaining health, Spirituality of bio-farming, Family farming, Importance of Native breeds of cow, Panchagavya Therapy, Psychological and Spiritual aspects of Health, Psycho-Nutritional Therapy, Music Therapy, Traditional Healing and so forth.
The inaugural function will be Chaired by Smt. T.Saji, President, Kottukal Grama Panchayat and inaugurated by farmers. Swami Bodhi Theertha, Secretary, Kunnumpara Madhom will deliver a special speech. Sri. C. K. Hareendran M.L.A, Sri. Kummanam Rajasekharan, Chairman, Aranmula Heritage Trust, Sri. Ranjan S. Karippai, MD, State Horticulture Mission will be the Chief Guests. Dr. K. P. Laladas, Former Member Secretary, State Bio-diversity Board will deliver the keynote address. Smt. Sandhya Nagesh, AGM, NABARD, Sri. Muraleedharan Thazhakkara, Program Executive, AIR, Smt. G.S. Sreekala, President, Venganoor Grama Panchayath, Smt. Ajitha Sasidharan, President, Poovar Grama Panchayath, Smt. C. Omana, Councellor, Thiruvananthapuram Corporation will give felicitation speeches.
